Company Profile
Drinking
Water & Backflow Prevention is owned by the International
Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, IAPMO. Although our work is closely associated with many
not-for-profit and governmental organizations, we are not associated with any
other public or non-profit entity. Our emphasis is to provide information and
products, and assist in the awareness of the potential hazards associated with
the quality of our drinking water supply.
Because of DW&BP's
emphasis on reporting industry news, our articles frequently include the
activities of numerous professional associations, such as the American
Water Works Association, (AWWA) American
Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE), International
Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO),
International Code Council (ICC), Canadian
Standards Association (CSA), Foundation
for Cross-Connection Control and Hydraulic Research at the University of
Southern California, American
Backflow Prevention Association, North American Backflow Association, and
more.
DW&BP
has more than 14,000 readers monthly! Because DW&BP
is the only monthly magazine dedicated to water system safety, our readers
claim, "DW&BP
is a personal consultant at your fingertips!" DW&BP's
readership base is varied. Approximately 30% of our readers represent water
utilities. Plumbing contractors are nearly 15%. Government agencies, such as
municipal inspectors, county health representative, and state regulators
comprise 13% of our readers. The balance is fairly well distributed between
manufacturers, schools, professional organizations, consultants, water &
sewer special districts, and others.
