The future of backflow prevention technician
certification is online! Drinking
Water & Backflow Prevention magazine has
posted three sample examinations at its web site as a
first peak into the future of certification.

The actual certification examination will be available
only with an authorized one-time password and address.
This access will be provided through the certification
agency or DW&BP
magazine. The certification agency will then be provided
the results of the electronic examination and provide
notice to the applicant.
Individuals with existing backflow prevention
technician certifications may enhance their credentials
through the DW&BP
seal program. With the successful completion of the
online exam and proof of tester status, copy of current
certification, copy of gauge calibration, etc., a person
may become registered as an industry professional with DW&BP for one year.
At that time, the credentials must be renewed to continue
the professional status.

program will be authorized to use the official DW&BP mark of
excellence:
